VFX Graph - Rotating Particles

Use this effect to create unique particles that are rotating around the black hole and being slowly pulled into the center. You can find all effects in the ‘SF Black Hole → Effects’ folder.

Configuration

Base

Sets the image for the particles

Particle Color

Color of the particles. You can set the gradient for a smoother color change over the lifetime of the particles. Basically when the particle spawns it will have the color + gradient defined on the outer left side and shortly before the end of its lifetime the color + gradient on the outer right side of the gradient.

Spawn Radius

Particles are spawned within a sphere with a configurable radius. Increase the radius to create a larger circle of particles. Decrease the radius to make the circle near the black hole

Particle Lifetime

Define a min and max lifetime in seconds for the particle. Each particle will be assigned a random lifetime between those values..

Particle Size

Define a min and max size for the particles. Each particle will be assigned a random size between those values.

Max Attraction Speed

Define the max attraction speed (pull force) towards the center.

Volume

Manipulate the y axis the particle positions.Lets say your value is 0.5 so all particles will be assigned a random value between -5 and 5. Set a value of 0 to make the particles appear completely flat without any volume. The higher the value, the greater the 3D effect.

Rotation Speed

Max rotation speed. Each particle will get a speed between 0 and the max set value assigned.

Spawn Rate

Define how fast your particles will be created. Increase the value to create more particles in a shorter amount of time. Decrease the value if you want less particles for your effect

Example:

Image includes 2 particle effects (purple and green) and all previously described shaders
